PUERH TEA TASTING (SOLD OUT; 11:30-12:30pm)

Join Roy Fong for a tasting of two of his most prized "sheng/raw" puerh teas. During the tasting, Roy will explore basic techniques on how to brew, age and break down a tea cake.

Join Imperial Tea Court's Roy Fong on a journey to discover some of the most renown Puerh teas from China's Yunnan province. Fong is Tea Master of Imperial Tea Court and has over 30 years of tea experience. He is also a noted collector of high-grade Puerhs, and is widely regarded as an expert on Chinese teas. He will be accompanied by Chang Jin Qiang, a 36-year veteran of the Puerh tea industry. Chang is currently Manager at the famed Yunnan XiaGuan Tuo Cha Tea Factory. Tea lovers will have the opportunity to taste Puerh teas from some of the most noteworthy Puerh growing regions, as well as select Puerhs from Fong and Chang's personal collections.

BLEND YOUR OWN CHAI (SOLD OUT; 1-2pm or 2-3pm)

WORKSHOP HOSTED BY SARAH ADAMS, OWNER & BREWMISTRESS, CHICO CHAI

Come learn how to blend your own chai! We'll start with basic background, then show you our favorite ways to blend and brew loose leaf chai. Then you'll get your hands into some spices and create your own blend. We provide the spices, tea, and advice along the way. You'll get to take home your unique blend--keep it for yourself or give to a loved one for the holidays!

Sarah Adams is the Owner & Brewmistress of Chico Chai, a chai microbrewery in Chico, CA. She has been in business since 2004, and is always looking forward to learning more about spices & tea.
